What are Injectables?
Injectables are a non-surgical option to restore facial volume, reduce wrinkles, and enhance the definition of the face. As non-permanent options, injectables will require multiple appointments to maintain but provide natural-looking and fulfilling results. Rejuvenessence offers many facial injections: dermal fillers, PRP, nanofat, neuromodulators like Botox®, biologic human allografts, and more.
What are Neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators use a diluted form of botulinum toxin extracted from a type of bacteria. The toxin targets the communication between the nerves and specific muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles on the face, reducing muscle contractions. The reduction of muscle contractions results in the appearance of fewer wrinkles. Since the treatment temporarily restricts muscle movement, it also helps to prevent future fine lines and wrinkles from forming.
You will receive approximately five injections around the target area during your appointment. These injections will feel like a slight pinch but will be over in a few minutes.
Botox®
Botox® is the most famous of the neuromodulator treatments. Your results may last up to three to four months, but it may take up to a week to see results. Continuous Botox® injections may lead to longer-lasting results.
Dysport®
Dysport® is commonly used to treat moderate to severe frown lines for natural-looking results. It works much faster than Botox® so you can get treated a few days before an event and still have time to look your best. You may see results in two to three days, lasting up to five months.
Xeomin®
Xeomin® improves moderate to severe frown lines, even for those who no longer can use Botox® or Dysport®. Unlike the other neuromodulators, Xeomin® only uses botulinum toxin rather than adding other structural proteins. This means there is less chance of developing resistance or have an allergic reaction. Xeomin® typically takes three to four days for results and lasts around three months.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are synthetic versions of hyaluronic acid and other naturally occurring substances in our bodies that can be used to restore natural facial volume. The results are fewer wrinkles and more youthful fullness.
You’ll receive dermal filler injections at targeted locations chosen during your consultation during your appointment. You’ll feel slight pain for a moment during injection, but the pain doesn’t linger afterward.
Juvederm®
Juvederm® is a collection of five different hyaluronic fillers for adults over 21. For facial restoration, Juvederm® adds volume to facial areas such as the cheeks, facial wrinkles and folds, and lines around the mouth. Some people may use Juvederm® to plump their lips.
We offer the full range of Juvederm® fillers, including Juvederm® Ultra, Juvederm® Ultra XC, Juvederm® Voluma™ XC, Juvederm® Volbella™ XC, and Juvederm® Vollure™ XC. Some types of Juvederm® contain lidocaine to prevent discomfort. Most injections last up to one to two years.
RHA®
RHA® is the only hyaluronic dermal filler family designed to treat dynamic wrinkles and loss of facial volume. Your results from the RHA® line of fillers can last up to 15 months. Unlike Botox® and other dynamic wrinkles treatments, RHA® allows you to maintain all your natural facial expressions.
Radiesse®
Radiesse® is an FDA-approved calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) dermal filler. The results from the Radiesse® line of fillers last around a year. The dermal filler restores volume while creating a scaffold for new collagen to rebuild. This filler is excellent for midface volume and has the longest duration.
Restylane®
Restylane® is another hyaluronic acid dermal filler but focuses on supporting natural expression while treating severe facial wrinkles and folds or for lip augmentation. The Restylane® line of fillers includes Restylane® Kysse, Restylane® Contour, Restylane® Silk, and Restylane® Lyft. Depending on the type of Restylane® filler, the number of injections, and the area treated, Restylane® can last between 6-18 months.
Sculptra®
Sculptra® is a dermal filler using poly-L-lactic acid. Sculptra® treats deep lines, creases, and folds. While you may notice results sooner, final results may take a few weeks but last up to two years.
Injectable Benefits
Injectables are a non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment. These treatments require little to no downtime and allow facial restoration without the pain and recovery of a facelift or surgery. Some other benefits of injectables include:
You Can Change Your Mind
If you do not like your results, most injectables are temporary. Injectables are customizable, and your body breaks down the ingredients, making it perfect for anyone who wants to try a new look without a life-long commitment.
Lessened Fine Lines and Wrinkles
All types of injectables provided by Rejuvenessence reduce signs of aging, including fine lines and wrinkles. By reducing muscle movements or restoring facial volume, injectables minimize signs of aging.
Improvement in Facial Volume
Dermal fillers are famous for their ability to restore volume lost by age. You regain your youthful complexion by replenishing the skin and filling the hollowed space caused by age.
Smoother Skin
Often, patients report improvement in their skin condition after the use of injectables. Dermal fillers, in particular, help retain moisture and boost collagen production, causing smoother and healthier-looking skin.
Injectables Results and Recovery
There is no downtime needed with injectables. You may return to your routine immediately following your appointment; however, avoiding intense physical activity for 48 hours after your injections is best. At Rejuvenessence, we advise avoiding rubbing, scratching, or picking at your face while the injectables settle.
Ideal Candidates for Injectables
Most people are good candidates for PRP, nano-fat, thread lifts, dermal fillers, and neuromodulators such as Botox®. Ideal candidates are adults over 21 who want to minimize wrinkles, restore facial volume, or contour specific facial features. If you currently smoke, quitting for two weeks before and after your appointment is best to aid the healing process. The best candidates have realistic expectations and are in overall good health.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a neurological disease or are allergic to any ingredients in the chosen injectable, you might not be a good candidate for injectable treatments.
What Other Injectable Treatments are Available?
Rejuvenessence offers other injectable treatments to restore your youthful appearance. Some of the treatments offered are:
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
Platelets, which play a role in healing, have been used to treat injuries and speed recovery. To use the platelet-rich plasma (PRP), your practitioner draws a small amount of blood that is then spun in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates the PRP from the rest of the blood to use in the injections.
In the cosmetic community, PRP injections may help reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging in the face and other areas. PRP may also be used to improve hair loss.
Nanofat (Micro-Fat)
Nanofat injections use fat cells from an undesirable area, like your abdomen or hips, to improve your facial volume or restore your hands. Nano-fat injections can address areas such as under the eyes, cheeks, lips, chin, around the mouth and nose, and the backs of the hands.
You may experience some bruising and swelling afterward with minor discomfort, which subsides after two to three weeks. Initial results appear after two to three treatments in three to six months, with final results within a year.
Thread Lifts
Thread lifts tighten your skin by inserting medical-grade thread to pull the loose skin into a more pleasing position. As the skin holds its new position, your collagen builds around it to maintain results even after the body absorbs the threads.
Thread lifts require no general anesthesia, and recovery is minimal. The effects of your treatments may last up to one to three years with immediate results. Final results settle in days and weeks following your treatment.
