Dr. Frederick A. Coville, known affectionately as Dr. Fred to his patients, is a highly regarded aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He serves as the Medical Director at Rejuvenessence in Linwood, NJ, where his passion for holistic wellness and personalized patient care shines through every medical wellness treatment, helping patients to “live better, longer.”
A Journey Rooted in Excellence
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Fred accelerated through his early education, beginning his university studies at the age of 16. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and completed medical school before his 25th birthday. His early dedication and love for medicine, particularly plastic and aesthetic surgery, set the foundation for a distinguished career.
Extensive Training and Influences
Dr. Fred’s post-doctoral training took place in some of New York’s most esteemed institutions. He completed a Surgical Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and a Burn Fellowship at Nassau County Medical Center. His journey culminated in a Plastic Surgery Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, where he served as Chief Resident and an Associate of the Department of Surgery.
In 1997, Dr. Fred was invited to the British Virgin Islands to serve as the Associate Director and Plastic Surgeon at the Bougainvillea Clinic for Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. There, he worked alongside the legendary Dr. Robin E. Tattersall, O.B.E., F.R.C.S., and cared for elite clientele from around the globe. His contributions to the community were significant, including founding and presiding over the BVI Cancer Society and serving as President of the BVI Medical and Dental Association.

Dr. Fred is renowned for pioneering work in combined facial and skin rejuvenation techniques. He achieves natural and spectacular results using a mix of prescription creams and chemical, light, and injectable therapies. He has presented his techniques internationally, earning the distinction of being a founding member of Dr. Zein Obagi’s International ZO Skin Health Faculty.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Fred is an entrepreneur, avid traveler, and fluent Spanish speaker. Dr. Coville is an avid bonsai enthusiast and feels that plastic surgery and the ancient art of bonsai are both “living arts.” The practice of bonsai stimulates his creativity and keeps his hands and fingers agile and strong, enhancing his plastic surgical skills. He enjoys playing percussion and is an aspiring novelist. However, his most cherished roles are being a father to his two young sons and a loving husband to his wife.
